In this first week of September 2015, it’s been three years since Lulú Ferris first opened its doors. Three years filled with as much love as hard work, during which our lives have changed, our family has grown (in every sense), and we’ve watched our dream take its first steps until it became what it is today. And it’s all thanks to you.
It feels like yesterday, but Lulú Ferris is no longer just that shop that put out its “open” sign in September 2012: it’s a living, ever-growing community, a physical space but also a virtual one, where the DIY philosophy and love for beautiful things come together to produce countless creations. All of them as much ours as they are yours.
These have also been three years of nonstop activity, always working hard to offer you what we know how to do best: workshops, tutorials, courses, custom orders, tons of photos of our projects, posts full of ideas and useful information… And for this third anniversary, we’re taking it one step further. That’s how Lulu Ferris was born.
Lulu Ferris means committing ourselves even more to the website and to all the people who, because you don’t live near Mataró, can’t attend courses and workshops at the shop. It means supporting all of you who follow us on social media and on our YouTube channel by offering a much more complete service that we’re going to invest a great deal of time and effort in.
What does Lulu Ferris have for you?
Lulu Ferris also puts out its “open” sign with 10 sewing tutorials, with a new one added every week. These are sewing tutorials where you can learn to make the shop’s most beautiful and exclusive creations, always in a very easy, educational way, so you can become a true expert and never run out of inspiration. As soon as you subscribe, you’ll have access to ALL the tutorials. You also get an automatic 5% discount on all our products, courses, and workshops.
And how does the subscription work?
Subscribing is very easy, just like making an online purchase, and costs only $10 USD per month. Once you subscribe, renewal happens automatically each month, but you can cancel whenever you want from the members’ area. No problems, no hassle, no complications: just as easy as our tutorials :) If you cancel but we release that tutorial you’re passionate about and absolutely need to see, there’s no problem: you can subscribe again whenever you want.
But aren’t the tutorials already on the YouTube channel?
For Lulu Ferris, we’ve created and will continue creating lots of exclusive sewing tutorials every week that you won’t find anywhere else. Some of them will be very useful if you’re just starting out, such as the Getting Started with the Sewing Machine series. With others, you’ll learn to make signature items from our shop, such as birthday crowns, or garments we teach in in-person courses at the shop, such as coachella shorts. This way, everyone can access them regardless of where you live.
