Two days ago, we started getting ready for Carnival with some fantastic costume-making tutorials. Maybe you'd like to make something this year, too, but you still need more practice with your machine and need more specific help. Someone to be with you and answer your questions live and in person. If that's the case, sewing classes and workshops like the ones we've planned for this February would be perfect for you.
If you're from Mataró or the surrounding area and want to take your machine skills to the next level (or get started), today's post is for you. Are you ready for a busy February of carnivals, Valentine's Day, and lots of stitching?
Yes, video tutorials are great, but in-person classes offer something a video never can. And it's not just having someone beside you to answer questions and teach you: it's the atmosphere, the fun, the company of other people, everyone creating together in a workshop at the same time…
If you've never given yourself the chance to experience it, you should come at least once and try it. And if you're going to give yourself that chance, February is your month!
Patternmaking, Cutting, and Garment Construction
If you want to take the leap and stop copying patterns so you can adapt them to your taste or create your own from scratch, this is the workshop for you. We have two formats, depending on your level.
- Single patternmaking classes: if you already have patternmaking knowledge but need help improving, making a specific garment, or resolving questions, mark the afternoon of Saturday the 17th on your calendar.
- Patternmaking course: to learn from scratch or make progress if you know a little. One class every Wednesday throughout the month, and you'll leave having made things you never even imagined. You need to know how to use a sewing machine.
Intensive Baby Clothing Workshop
If you have Saturday, February 24, free, don't make any plans, because we'll spend the day creating baby clothes for your little one. We'll provide all kinds of patterns to give you ideas and help you make the one you choose. At a minimum, you'll go home with one finished garment.

Introduction to the Sewing Machine
Start from scratch and fall in love with your machine. You'll only need a couple of hours with us to unravel its secrets and turn it into your best friend. We'll teach you how to use it and care for it, and we'll practice with you so you can lose your fear of it.

Creative Sewing Classes
Come to a single class or save some money by booking a pack of four to use on whichever days you like. We organize creative sewing classes on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, in the morning and afternoon, so you can find an opening whatever your schedule.

Crochet or Knitting Classes
It can't all be machine sewing! Crochet or knitting classes can also be purchased individually or in packs, and we hold them on Wednesdays from 10:00 to 12:00. They're for all levels, and since Susi, our teacher, is a sweetheart, there's no minimum number of students. So you might have her all to yourself!
