Well, you know what they say: “If the mountain won’t come to Muhammad, Muhammad must go to the mountain.” This Saturday, May 12, we’re going all out and heading to Barcelona to teach a sewing workshop.

What are we going to make in this sewing workshop in Barcelona?
We’re going to make a beautiful multipurpose pouch that you can use for all kinds of things. Our original idea, since we’re holding the workshop with the wonderful women at Atelier Bio, is for you to stay and take a natural cosmetics workshop with them in the afternoon. That way, you can use the pouch to store the cosmetic product you make.
But of course, you can use it however you like: for creams, makeup, carrying the basics when you travel, medications, manicure supplies, sewing supplies, as a pencil case… Whatever you want, really.

Workshop details: where and when
As we already mentioned in the post title, our sewing workshop in Barcelona is scheduled for the morning of Saturday, May 12. The hours are 10:30 to 13:00: plenty of time for you to leave with your pouch finished, even if you’re not especially skilled with a sewing machine. We’ll make sure you succeed :)
The location is one of those spaces where peace and good energy flow. Atelier Bio’s workshop is at Carrer del Torrent de l’Olla, number 174. You can check the location on Google Maps right here.
What do you need to bring?
When we hold workshops in Mataró, we’re the ones who provide the machines so you don’t have to carry yours and everything is more convenient. But in this case, you’ll need to bring your sewing machine with a special zipper presser foot and ecru thread.
Also, basic sewing supplies: pins or clips, thread snips, scissors, and a marker. We’ll take care of the fabrics, zippers, and materials for making the pouch.
What sewing level do you need?
The most basic. All you need to know is how to use the machine.
If you’re a beginner, this workshop will be perfect for learning essential skills such as inserting a zipper. It will help you gain confidence and ease with the machine. And on top of that, you’ll have a fantastic time.
