July is just around the corner, and you have a little bundle of energy at home on vacation because school is already out. If you have children over 7 years old and would love for them to do something fun and educational with kids their age, you’ll be very interested in our summer camp in Mataró. In fact, you’ll both be interested.
Of course, this is a summer camp for boys and girls; but the truth is that during these classes, the girls are the ones who take over the shop. Maybe it’s because sewing is still seen as a “women’s thing,” but our opinion is that creativity has no gender. Now that we’ve cleared up that little point, let’s tell you how it works and why it’s such a wonderful idea.
What does this summer camp involve?The idea is to get together in a pleasant space where they can spend their mornings learning, socializing, and having fun. Groups have a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 participants. That means they’re the perfect size for personalized guidance and, in addition, for making it easier to interact and make friends.
They don’t need to know anything because we teach them from scratch, and they can choose whatever they want: sewing, knitting, or crochet. Within the format they choose, they can also decide for themselves which project they want to make. Motivation and freedom are essential factors for creativity. Stuffed animals, bags, cases, dresses, garlands, pants, T-shirts…
The important thing is to have fun and finish the camp feeling very happy and proud of what they’ve made with their own hands.
We organize the summer camp by the week. The schedule is from 10:00 to 13:00, Monday through Friday, with a breakfast break, because you need to have energy to create beautiful things. We provide the sewing machine, and materials are included in the 90 € price.
Although the minimum attendance period is one week, if she’s happy learning and wants to continue, you can reserve more weeks as you go. Or, if you want to keep her “entertained” for a couple of weeks instead of one, you can reserve both from the beginning. Reserving the weeks through the website is very easy, but if you have any questions, you can call us or stop by the shop and ask.
The classes will, of course, take place in our Mataró workshop.
