What you’ll make
Sew a warm baby sleep sack that stays in place as a little one wiggles and changes position. A long zipper opens the sack, while buttons or snaps fasten the shoulder tabs.
The sack combines an exterior, batting, and lining. The class demonstrates versions made with one main fabric and with two fabrics for a contrasting look.
What you’ll learn in this class
- Arrange the exterior fabric, batting, and lining.
- Insert the zipper and handle its slider around tricky areas.
- Use a zipper foot and a walking foot where appropriate.
- Trim or clip curves for smoother turned edges.
- Turn the sack through an opening in the lining.
- Close the lining by machine or with the invisible stitch.
- Add buttons or snaps to the shoulder tabs.
