What you’ll make
Sew a pair of soft boot-style slippers with a tall cuff that can be folded down to reveal the cozy lining.
The demonstrated pair combines a woven exterior, sherpa-style lining and a faux-leather sole chosen to reduce slipping. Non-slip slipper fabric is another option.
Decorative side buttons add a warm finishing detail but do not function as closures. This easy project offers practice with straight and curved seams.

Fabric and supplies
Use a stable exterior fabric and a soft sherpa-style fabric for the lining. Choose faux leather or purpose-made non-slip fabric for the sole.
Batting may be added to the sole for extra softness and insulation. Its suitability depends on the thickness of the batting and lining.
Clips are useful on faux leather because pins leave holes. If the exterior frays, finish its raw edges with a zigzag, serger or pinking shears.
Make it your own
Fold the tall cuff to display the lining or wear it upright. Add decorative buttons, ribbon or a small bow, or leave the exterior plain.
Fabric choice can make each pair distinct, while optional sole batting lets you adjust the cushioning to suit the materials.
Pattern sizes
The pattern covers European sizes 35–44 for women or men. If you are unsure which size to choose, place the foot over the sole pattern before cutting.
The sole is sewn with a 1 cm allowance, so the finished interior will be smaller than the unsewn paper outline.
