What you’ll make
Sew the roomy Cádiz Beach Bag for the beach, pool, or other outings. Its wide base leaves plenty of space for towels, sunscreen, a book, and other essentials.
Long webbing handles let you carry it by hand or over your shoulder. Inside, an attached zipper pouch secures small items, and an elastic side pocket holds a bottle upright.

Fabric and supplies
Use sturdy canvas or a similar heavyweight woven fabric. If your machine struggles with thick layers, choose a lighter canvas and test a layered scrap first.
You’ll also need webbing for the handles, a zipper for the attached pouch, and elastic for the bottle pocket. Binding is optional for a cleaner interior.
Make it your own
Increase the height for a taller bag or repeat the bottle pocket on the second side. Shape the pocket’s lower edge with soft gathers or small pleats.
Finish the interior with ready-made binding or binding cut from your main fabric, depending on the look and bulk you prefer.
Finished measurements
The finished bag measures approximately 40 cm wide × 30 cm high × 22 cm deep.
