What you’ll make
Sew the Málaga Stroller Bag, a padded zip-top bag designed to keep baby essentials organized and accessible while attached to a stroller.
Inside, it has a divided pocket and an elastic section for a bottle or baby bottle. A front flap pocket keeps frequently used items close at hand.
Two snap-fastened straps attach the bag to a stroller and adjust for models with a single handlebar or separate handles.
What you’ll learn in this class
- Baste batting to the exterior pieces.
- Sew an elastic bottle section and divided lining pocket.
- Construct a lined front pocket with a flap.
- Enclose a zipper between exterior and lining strips.
- Assemble the structured outer bag and lining.
- Attach and reinforce the stroller straps.
- Turn the bag through the lining and add closures.
Fabric and supplies
The samples use canvas or soft fine-wale corduroy outside, poplin for the lining, and batting for structure. You may quilt the exterior pieces before assembly.
You’ll also need a zipper and snaps or hook-and-loop fastener. Make the stroller straps from fabric or backpack-style webbing.
Make it your own
Add a bottle section to the opposite side, repeat the divided pocket on both lining panels, or change the divisions to suit the items you carry.

Finished measurements
The finished bag measures approximately 41 cm wide × 24 cm high × 6.5 cm deep.
