What you’ll make

Sew a practical short-sleeve scrub top with a V-neck, small side slits, two roomy lower patch pockets, and one chest pocket.

The standard fit is comfortable without being close or especially oversized. The V-neck and back-neck facing form the most detailed area of the project.

For additional hands-free storage, pair it with the Bari Belt Bag.

What you’ll learn in this class

  • Stabilize curved and diagonal edges.
  • Prepare, position, and reinforce patch pockets.
  • Construct the V-neck and back-neck facing.
  • Ease and insert the short sleeves.
  • Sew clean side slits.
  • Finish the sleeve, slit, and lower hems.

Fabric and materials

The samples are sewn in poplin. Other woven fabrics are also suitable, allowing you to choose according to the job and the garment’s care needs.

Make it your own

  • Divide a large pocket to organize small items.
  • Move the chest pocket or add another one.
  • Size up by one or two sizes for a looser fit.
  • Choose straight, twin-needle, zigzag, or decorative hems.

Sizing

The pattern covers 34/36 through 54/56. The chart spans bust measurements of 82–130 cm, waist measurements of 66–114 cm, and hip measurements of 78–126 cm.

The instructor selects her size from the bust measurement. She describes the standard fit as comfortable without being tight or especially loose.

The class includes the scrub-top pattern in A4 home-print and A0 copy-shop formats, plus a measurement information sheet.
