What you’ll make
Sew a snack bag with a fabric exterior, food-safe translucent plastic lining, Velcro closure, and a small loop for carrying or hanging it.
The wipeable lining suits sandwiches, nuts, chips, or sliced fruit. The class sample features a strawberry made with reverse appliqué.

Fabric and notions
Use outer fabric, appliqué scraps, interfacing, food-safe translucent plastic, Velcro, and cord, bias tape, or fabric for the loop.
Small scissors provide better control when trimming inside the reverse-appliqué outline. Use clips where pins would leave visible holes in the plastic.
Make it your own
Replace the strawberry with another simple fruit or graphic shape. Uncomplicated outlines are easier to stitch and trim accurately.
Coordinate the appliqué with the outer fabric, and choose cord, bias tape, or a sewn fabric strip for the carrying loop.
