Every year in April, we get into the spring spirit. The sun comes out, daisies bloom, the world fills with light and color, and we feel like decorating clothes with flowers. Wow! We even came up with a rhyme! That’s how much spring affects us. It’s all because we love personalizing our clothes and our little ones’ clothes, turning every garment and accessory into something unique.
Of course, if you like little flowers, one option is to choose a floral-print fabric when you make a project with your sewing machine. We always try to keep some in the store for devoted spring lovers at any time of year. But if you don’t make your own sewing projects yet or simply feel like customizing a basic garment you have at home, there are some very easy and beautiful options.

It would be very useful to visit it again, because you’ll find several ways to create three-dimensional flowers that you can turn into brooches, sew or glue onto your accessories, or even use to make a beautiful decorative bouquet.
Keep in mind that you can be as imaginative as you like, and that it’s always a good idea to draw inspiration from things you’ve seen around you, whether on the street or on social media. For example, take a look at this cool idea from Misusu, which is so simple. You don’t even need to have an advanced level of sewing skill. In fact, you don’t even need to sew if you don’t want to, because you could glue the felt flowers on with fabric glue. If you’re going to make something like this, it will help to plan a little beforehand. In other words, instead of gluing (or sewing) them on randomly, make a template first, as she does in the tutorial, and then arrange them according to the plan so the result looks beautiful. Although if you like taking risks and have good spatial intuition, you can do it as you go. You can also test the arrangement by holding them in place with pins before giving them their final position.

Another way to do it, if you’re not handy with a needle, is to paint them. As we’ve told you before, you don’t have to be Picasso or make anything incredibly complicated. Sometimes, something as simple as downloading a template and using different colors to stamp the same shape here and there can give you a result as beautiful as these customized shoes from Sara Flowerpower. When it comes to painting fabric, in addition to traditional fabric paint (which is applied with a brush), you can also find fabric markers online and in specialty stores. They’re much easier to handle than brushes and are a very good option for creating this kind of decoration.
And if you already have experience with a needle and enjoy embroidery, this is always an excellent way to create one-of-a-kind clothes. You don’t have to be a virtuoso, either.
