At Lulú Ferris, we’re very organized and love having everything in its place and a place for everything, which is why we’re always making beautiful and useful creations like the ones we showed you a few weeks ago in this little roundup, complete with video tutorials, featuring four solutions for organizing your home. Hoping that post gave you some good ideas, today we’re bringing you another one with similar features but different ideas.
That’s what it’s all about! Keeping the flow of ideas going so you’re always motivated and inspired to create new things. This time, we’ve gathered our best video tutorials for making a cover—but covers for what?
Well, we’ve brought you a little bit of everything, so get comfortable, because they’re so short, easy, and enjoyable that you’ll be able to watch them all in one go. Let’s get started!
HOW TO MAKE A COVER FOR…
1. Cell phone cover.
One of the most requested for obvious reasons. A cell phone is everyone’s inseparable companion, almost a command center from which we can do everything from making videos and taking photos to answering emails and updating social media. But that’s not all—these are also design objects, and as such, the cover serves a dual purpose. On the one hand, obviously, it protects the phone and keeps the screen safe; on the other, it also contributes to the personalization and design of this little device that we usually keep close at hand and in plain sight. Since you make the cover to measure, you can also make one for an iPod or anything else you want to keep in it.

2. Pillow cover.
A true classic. This time, it’s an envelope-style pillow cover, very easy to make, and all you need is the fabric you’re going to use (remember that we have lots of beautiful fabrics in our craft store) and a little bias tape. Changing your pillow covers is a wonderful way to give your living room or bedrooms different touches and nuances. Although we make it with the typical square pillows in the tutorial, you can also take the measurements of a bed pillow with a more rectangular shape. The idea is to bring more life, color, and versatility to your space.

3. Sewing machine cover.
We couldn’t forget our best ally on our creative adventures, leaving it at the mercy of those ugly covers that sewing machines usually come with (if they include one at all). For that reason, and because of the same protection, design, and space-decorating considerations we mentioned earlier, this video tutorial also seems essential for helping your sewing space feel more organized and clean, with a cheerful touch of color. Dress it as it deserves, since it helps you dress yourself!

4. Passport cover.
And finally—for now—we’re offering you another cover design that’s so simple, you’re sure to think of lots of uses for it beyond a passport. It’s a book-style cover, so you can use it for any object with this shape, on a larger or smaller scale. Imagine, for example, making a cover as beautiful as this one for that special photo album, the notebook you use as a journal, or anything else. You know that we give you the basic idea, and you can take it as far as your imagination allows.
