Non-Slip Sewing Machine Foot Pedal Mat

I don't know about you, but when I'm sewing and the pedal slowly slides away, I end up in a super awkward position without even noticing—does that happen to you too?

We found the solution so you can sew one yourself: this non-slip base for your foot pedal. It's not only useful for its function, but pretty, too :)

To sew it, we used non-slip material, which you can find at byTricia and which we've also used on other occasions, such as for the boot-style slippers or the Tokyo slippers available in our sewing academy, Lulu Ferris, etc. But you can use another type of non-slip material that can be sewn.

You'll also need some pretty fabric and bias tape if you don't want to use the same fabric. Oh! And a little bit of stuffing for the little stuffed tube that keeps the pedal from moving, too—nothing moves here!

This time, we're not providing a pattern because pedals can have different measurements, and we'll show you how to calculate it in the video tutorial itself.

It's a very, very easy project to sew, so if you've just started sewing, you can make it without any problems.

Here's the tutorial. Happy sewing!
