In today’s post, our four-legged furry friends are the stars. Among all the lovely things you can find in the Club and on our YouTube channel, we couldn’t leave out some sewing tutorials for dogs. Because they’re part of the family and deserve the very best.
Besides being very practical, these tutorials are the easiest thing in the world. They take very little time, few materials, and very little money. Still, you’ll see how lovely the result is. Matching, completely personalized collars, leashes, and bag dispensers.
As always, we teach you how to make a basic model decorated with a fabric you like, and you choose how personalized you want it to be. If you want to add your dog’s name, for example, it will look great: with a fabric marker and pretty lettering, sewing on their initial… See what you come up with while watching the tutorials :)
We made the matching collar and leash using the Goldi Bears Brown fabric, which looks fantastic. Ideally, you should choose a fabric that contrasts with your best friend’s fur, so it stands out and can be seen clearly. Remember that you’ll find lots of fabrics in different colors and prints in the online store.
Let’s sew!
Sewing tutorials for dogs
Collar
You’ll find the tutorial for making a dog collar in Lulu Ferris, where we show you how to make it to fit your dog. It’s the classic model with a click buckle that you can find in any pet store. The difference is that this one will be much more special, of course.
It’s so easy to make that it’s one of those tutorials that’s perfect for beginners and for practicing with your machine. It also takes so little time that you can make them one after another. That’s why it’s also a great gift for other animal lovers like you.
Of course, all the materials are available in our store, so you don’t have to waste time looking for them. If you visit the tutorial link, you’ll find all the links you need to get them.
Leash
You’ll find the tutorial for the leash that matches the collar on our YouTube channel. To make it, you only need a strip of pretty fabric for decoration, polypropylene webbing, a ring, and a snap hook.
The process for making it is similar to the collar, so once you get started, we recommend making both things in one go. They’re so easy that you’ll have the set finished in half an hour, with time left over to make the dispenser.
Bag dispenser
The bag dispenser tutorial is a tiny bit more complicated than the collar and leash tutorials, but it’s still very easy. It also has a snap hook so you can hang it from the leash, just as you saw in the previous video.
Ours is bone-shaped because we thought that, if they could talk, it would surely be one of their favorites.
With these three sewing tutorials for dogs, you now have the complete kit for going out to walk, play, run, and enjoy the world with your pup.
That way, you can turn the things that make them so happy when they see them into something even more special. Have fun!
