What you’ll make
The Grey overalls have a roomy shape, rounded front neckline, three-button opening, large side patch pockets, and straps that cross at the back.
The pattern finishes above the ankle. Shorten or lengthen the legs to suit the season and the layers worn underneath.
An optional gathered waist treatment brings the garment closer to the body while keeping the legs relaxed.
What you’ll learn in these classes
- Stabilize curved woven edges before they distort.
- Prepare facings, straps, and patch pockets.
- Assemble the button front and rounded neckline.
- Position and topstitch large side pockets.
- Add elastic across the back and finish the armholes.
- Sew four-step buttonholes and attach buttons by machine.
- Cut the clarified front piece and its separate facing.
Fabric and materials
This pattern is designed for woven fabric. The samples use cotton-polyester seersucker and linen-viscose.
Lightweight viscose adds drape, while corduroy or denim creates more structure. Lightweight fabric may benefit from interfacing at the facings.
Elastic shapes the back. Elastic thread in the bobbin or regular elastic tape can also create the optional gathering at the waist.
Make it your own
Keep the body straight for the roomiest fit or add elastic gathering at the waist to define the hips.
Shorten the legs for warm weather or lengthen them for a full-length version. On a short version, move the pockets to a comfortable height.

Sizing
The included pattern covers women’s sizes 36 through 50.
The main class includes the multi-size A4 pattern. A second video clarifies how to cut the front piece and its separate facing.
