We couldn’t dedicate today’s post to anything else: we got the news yesterday, Tuesday. The family is growing: everything went wonderfully, and the beautiful baby boy Laura had been making in her belly for nine months is now one of us. Sam has come into the world to make it a little more beautiful and still doesn’t know how big the family he’s joined is.
This family exists thanks to Laura: she’s “our mommy,” not because of her age, but because she brought us all together, gave us something in common to unite us, and a magical project to work on together. She’s our mommy because, with her naturalness, tireless effort, and creativity, she has also managed to bring all of you here, reading every week. And without her, I wouldn’t be writing these lines today, feeling so emotional.

If you’ve been paying attention to the latest Lulu Ferris tutorials, you’ve also watched Laura’s growing belly—and Sam—grow day by day. The little one is in perfect health, just like our proud and brave mother.
From now on, he too is beginning the most powerful magic anyone has ever known: discovering the world, his body, his senses, and the heartbeats of other people. It’s like taking off from the tiny planet Earth and opening your arms to the vastness of the universe. The greatest adventure ever told: that of a child discovering life.
And make no mistake, Sam is going to be the best-dressed explorer in the entire galaxy. These past few months, Laura hasn’t only been busy making him—one masterpiece—but has also sewn all kinds of clothes and accessories with infinite love: soft, colorful covers for his BabyBjörn hammock, baby rompers to keep him cool in summer, and even a panda bear growth chart to watch him grow healthy and happy, among many other things.
We already know what you’re thinking, and you don’t need to worry. Will the store close? Will new tutorials stop being published? Of course not! We’re still taking care of everything so the pace doesn’t slow down: Laura created this big family for a reason. Tutorials, custom orders, courses, posts—everything is still moving forward!
