And although we have a beautiful sewing space in Mataró, where we teach our in-person courses, we're fascinated by the brilliant ideas you can find online. We could spend hours browsing and marveling at people's ideas.

Ideas for a fabulous sewing space
A sewing space inside a closet
Every time we see it, our hearts start racing. An entire sewing room inside a built-in closet! Now we know how the children who found the entrance to Narnia in a closet must have felt.
The closet needs to be fairly deep, and the lighting needs to be planned very carefully. But everything about this sewing space seems like a dream to us: everything! The décor, the colors, the masterful organization, and the way every inch of space is used.

A sewing space with pegboards
While looking through thousands and thousands of photos, we realized this is a very popular solution. You can find pegboards at any home improvement store, along with different types of hooks and fasteners.
The way Caroline has arranged the threads is very decorative. Look how beautiful they are. She has also placed scissors, rotary cutters, ribbons, and even embroidery hoops on the board. By hanging baskets or tiny buckets, you can keep all your supplies in view without them getting in the way.
The sewing space itself takes up very little room and yet has everything, while looking very organized. We like it!
Special sewing tables and furniture
A brilliant invention for saving space. This type of furniture folds up to make the most of even the smallest space. If you look closely, the one in the photo is open, but the section with the baskets folds inward. When closed, it takes up half the space, and the wheels let you move it from one place to another.
That said, they're not cheap at all, although there are other simpler and more affordable versions, like this table:
Something like this can be very useful when the space you have at home is truly minimal or if you practice minimalist sewing. The shelf below is designed for storing the machine when you're finished so the table stays clear. And the leaf on the left folds up so the whole unit is more compact when it's not in use.
