Lately, striped fabrics have been drawing us in as if they had something magnetic about them. We're sure it's because of the heat and the feeling of summer floating in the air. You only have to look at the baby romper we've uploaded to Lulu Ferris and you'll understand everything. You're sure to recognize that beachy-nautical feel, which looks equally good at any age and in any garment.
It's just as good for making a romper or a diaper cover for little ones as it is for making a tank top for yourself. In case you're also in summer sewing mode, today we're showing you some of the really lovely striped fabrics we have in the store.
Both woven and knit, so you can give your projects exactly the touch you like best.
Our striped fabrics
Indigo striped Jacquard
This beauty is the one we used to make the baby romper we mentioned at the beginning of the post. You've already seen that combining it with a little touch of red is absolutely amazing. Because it's made using the “Jacquard” system, the design is on both sides, so it's reversible. And it's also 100% organic cotton.
You can find it here: Indigo striped Jacquard.
White-and-red striped knit
White-and-red striped fabrics are also an absolute classic. They remind us of beach tents, umbrellas… They're not only great for making clothing and accessories, but also all kinds of covers. You know we love using them to personalize everything for little ones: the stroller, the bouncer… 95% organic cotton and 5% spandex.
You can find it here: White-and-red striped knit.
Gray-and-sky-blue striped knit
White-and-black and white-and-red combinations are the most classic, but maybe you're someone who looks for things a little different. If so, you'll love this Lillestoff design combining heather gray with sky blue. The result is a soft tone that's very pleasing to the eye, the kind that makes you feel good when you wear it.
