Last Thursday, we talked to you about the must-have sewing tutorials for women for this fall, and today we’re back with lots of ideas for the little girls at home.
Because every girl is unique, and maybe your little one is a ballerina who loves skirts and ruffles—or perhaps she’s a little whirlwind who loves dressing athletically, always ready for adventure.
It’s wonderful to let every girl grow up developing her own tastes and preferences, so we’re suggesting some tutorials for everyone.
Basic T-shirt
This tutorial is an essential. All kids wear short- or long-sleeve T-shirts, and what could be better than making one that’s completely personalized? With the fabric, color, or print they like best. Full-skirted dress or dress with a hip seam
Because we can’t choose just one of the two. These two dresses are as comfortable as they are beautiful.
Both are available in short- or long-sleeve versions, so once you have the pattern, you can make the dress for any time of year. Just change the fabric, sleeve length, add a little pocket or not, make it shorter or leave it longer… It will be the same pattern, but it will look like a completely different dress.
Palazzo pants
These pants have stolen our hearts. This style of pants has become super trendy in recent years, and it’s easy to see why. Comfortable and super cute, you can make them with the little bow, or, if she’s more understated, leave them without it. Either way, they’re perfect for right now, and when it gets colder, they can be paired with tights or fun stockings.
We love them as a look for Christmas or New Year’s Eve, so if you like them and think she’ll like them too… go for it!
Sweatpants or leggings
These two tutorials are comfort in clothing form. The sweatpants come with little pockets, so if you’ve never sewn a pair, they’re ideal for getting over your fear!
As for the leggings, all we can say is that once you make a pair, you won’t be able to stop. They’re super easy and quick to sew, and perfect for any time of year. What’s wrong with them? NOTH-ING.
