Where do you start with Lulu Ferris?
If you’ve just joined or are thinking about getting started, we recommend beginning with the introduction to the sewing machine. We’ve divided the tutorial into a first, second, and third part. These tutorials will help you understand how the machine works, its parts, and how to start practicing with it.
If you already know how to sew, watching these tutorials may help you too, since you may discover some tricks, details, or information you didn’t know that could be very useful for sewing and for following our tutorials.
Which tutorials should you watch first?
If you’ve taken a look at the home page, you’ll have noticed that we have a looooot of tutorials. Some are easier, but there are others we don’t recommend if you’ve only been sewing for a short time or have never sewn before.
Which ones can you watch to get started? So many! Here’s a brief list depending on your profile or needs:

Have you never sewn knits? Want to get started with us?
If you’ve never sewn knit fabric (stretch fabric) before, it may feel a little intimidating or scary. Don’t worry! At Lulu Ferris, we teach you from the ground up, starting at 0, whether you have a serger or want to use your coverstitch machine.
So, where should you start if you want to sew knits?
With the introduction to the serger (as long as you have one or have access to one; if that’s not the case, you can skip this step).
And which tutorials can you make to start sewing knits without giving up? Here are some examples:
